This is a continuation from Day 3: Donki and Sumo in case you didn’t read it.
Anywho, after we dried up from the rain, I wrapped my feet in bags then put my shoes back on. The shoes were starting to smell reeealllll wonderful. Sara loved my style and definitely loved the crinkling sounds when I walked, fortunately outside and in the restaurant they couldn’t be heard:
Pretty sweet huh?
Back out in the rain we got the GPS out to locate the restaurant, only about a 10 minute walk from our hotel. There aren’t really any words to describe this, so I’m not even going to try to. I can only say is that it was ridiculously awesome. The entire show was in english, which was a nice break to be honest. I love hearing the japanese language and trying to get to use it, but you have to be on guard when being spoken to at least to catch the few words we know. This time though, I could enter a low brain-energy state and it was relaxing. Next time though, as in the next time we return to Japan, we will have much better command of japanese. That’s our goal for when we return to the States. Anyways here’s the entrance to it (if this doesn’t get you interested then I don’t know what will). Begin robo-glory:
After hearing the Robot Restaurant theme song Sara looked at me and immediately asked how long will I be singing it for. So far? 24 hours. 😮 However, I did hear her sing it on the way home.
And lastly one picture:
Well there you have it, the Robot Restaurant. Believe you me, it’s way cooler and outrageous in person, there’re so many more acts than I showed you here.
Well that was the end of our night at that point. We returned home to prepare for the next day, which we decided to go out to Ginza, Akihabara and to make the Shibuya Crossing. I will have to get those uploaded tomorrow as well. If you’re following along as I write these you would be one day behind real-time. I will try to catch you up tomorrow night. We on the other hand, are headed to Miyajima tomorrow morning 9-22-16 and then Hiroshima the following day. Talk to you in Miyajima next.

Scott and Sara you’re trip looks amazing so far! Man, those Sumo dudes look huge and the arena is cool too.
I think I would enjoy the Robot Restaurant, spectacular light show.
Oh, and yes, your mom and dad would like to see you pitch those shoes, the creaking sound is a giveaway that they should go!!
Love you guys
We are having the time of our lives here! Japan has so much to offer from crazy fast Tokyo to laid back ancient Japan (where we are at now on Miyajima Island). Don’t you fret about the shoes, they were pitched in Shinjuku haha.
